Terms and conditions
Terms & Conditions
These terms and conditions apply to purchases made through the Alphabet Bags website.
Alphabet Bags is the trading name of Keep Calm Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 06341016.
Products
We make every effort to describe and photograph our products accurately. However, colours may vary slightly depending on your screen or device, and handmade, printed or embroidered products may have small variations between individual items.
Product measurements are approximate unless otherwise stated.
Prices and payment
All transactions are processed in GBP (£).
Where prices are displayed in another currency, currency conversions may be provided for convenience and the final amount charged may vary depending on the payment method, exchange rate or Shopify Markets settings applicable to your order.
Prices shown to UK customers include VAT where applicable.
We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout, which may include credit and debit cards, PayPal, Klarna, Shop Pay and Apple Pay.
Payment must be authorised before an order can be processed.
If you require a VAT invoice or receipt, please contact us at hello@alphabetbags.com.
Discounts and promotional offers
Unless otherwise stated, only one discount code or promotional offer may be used on an order.
Discounts, promotions and special offers may be subject to additional conditions displayed at the time of the promotion.
We reserve the right to withdraw or amend promotional offers where necessary.
Order acceptance
After placing an order, you will receive an order confirmation. This confirms that we have received your order but does not prevent us from cancelling an order where, for example, an item is unavailable, there has been an obvious pricing error, payment cannot be authorised or we are unable to fulfil the order.
If we are unable to fulfil an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the relevant amount.
Delivery
We aim to dispatch orders promptly and orders placed before 2pm Monday to Friday will usually be dispatched the same working day.
Occasionally this may not be possible, particularly during busy periods, sales or holidays. Where we are aware of significant dispatch delays, we will provide updated information on our website or during checkout.
Delivery estimates shown at checkout are estimates and are not guaranteed unless expressly stated otherwise.
We are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including delays within postal or courier networks, customs processing or severe weather. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Please ensure that the delivery address supplied when ordering is complete and accurate.
International orders, customs and import charges
Orders delivered outside the United Kingdom may be subject to import duties, taxes, customs charges or other fees imposed by the destination country.
For some destinations and delivery services, duties and taxes may be collected from you at checkout and the order sent using a duties-paid service. Where this applies, it will be indicated during the ordering or checkout process.
Where duties and taxes have not been collected by us in advance, the recipient may be responsible for paying any applicable import duties, taxes and customs charges before or upon delivery.
Customs requirements and charges vary between countries and we cannot control charges imposed by overseas customs authorities.
Cancelling an order before dispatch
We process orders quickly, so please contact us as soon as possible at hello@alphabetbags.com if you would like to cancel or change an order.
If we receive your request before the order has been dispatched, we will do our best to cancel it and issue a full refund.
If the order has already been dispatched, our standard cancellation and returns terms will apply.
Your right to cancel and return an online order
If you are a consumer purchasing online, you normally have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods without giving a reason.
After notifying us that you wish to cancel, you then have a further 14 days to return the goods to us.
To exercise your right to cancel, please email hello@alphabetbags.com with your name and order details.
Unless the goods are faulty, damaged or incorrect, you are responsible for the cost of returning them to us.
Returned products should be kept in good condition and should not be used beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect them. We may make a deduction from a refund if the value of an item has been reduced as a result of unnecessary handling.
Certain products may be excluded from the right to cancel where permitted by law, including goods that have been personalised or made to your specification.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
Refunds
When you exercise your statutory right to cancel an eligible order, we will refund the price paid for the returned goods together with the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option, where required by law.
If you selected a more expensive delivery service, such as express delivery, we are not required to refund the additional cost above our standard delivery charge.
Refunds will normally be made using the original payment method and within the time required by applicable consumer law.
We may withhold the refund until we have received the returned goods or you provide evidence that they have been sent back, where permitted by law.
Faulty, damaged or incorrect items
We want you to be happy with your order. If an item arrives damaged, is faulty or is not what you ordered, please contact us at hello@alphabetbags.com as soon as possible.
Where goods are faulty or not as described, you may have statutory rights to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund depending on the circumstances and how long you have owned the goods.
Where we are responsible for supplying faulty, damaged or incorrect goods, we will cover reasonable return postage costs where a return is required.
These rights are separate from our change-of-mind returns policy and nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights.
Undeliverable and uncollected orders
If delivery is attempted unsuccessfully, the carrier may hold the parcel at a local delivery office or collection point.
If the parcel is not collected or delivery cannot be completed because of an incorrect or incomplete address supplied by the customer, it may eventually be returned to us.
If you would like us to resend an order that has been returned for these reasons, we may ask you to pay the additional postage cost.
Alternatively, if you no longer want the order, we can refund eligible returned goods in accordance with your statutory rights and our returns policy. Original delivery charges and any costs that we are legally required to refund will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer law.
